Riverside Runners Club Championship

RIVERSIDE RUNNERS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

The Club Championship is a series of races that are selected for members to race throughout the year to determine the male and female Club Champions. 

The Championship will be split into two elements (a Short Championship and a Long Championship)
To complete the SHort and Long Championship you will need to complete one race from each category.
The overall male and female Club Championship will be based on the lowest aggregate times when adding the fastest time from each category.

Rules

The championship is only open to first claim members – if you leave the club or downgrade your membership you will no longer be eligible regardless of how many races you may have taken part in.
All runners must state they are representing the club when entering any of the races.
All runners must wear Riverside kit for all races in Category 3 to 6.
Runners can run as many races as they wish from each category but only their fastest time will count.
All results must be recorded on the Riverside Runners website by the last day of the month that the race is in.
All runners must participate in a minimum of 2 frostbites to be eligible (or volunteer at St Neots and run one other)
All runners completing the short and long championship will recieve a completion medal.
The top 3 for age grading and time will receive an award
Overall club champion to be determined by fastest time only.

The Races

Short Championship

Category	Distance	Races
Cat 1	5k	Pocket Parkrun (17^th February, 30^th March, 17^th August or 14^th September)
Cat 2	5k	Time Track Event (dates TBC – likely to be 26^th April, 11^th July and 16^th October)
Cat 3	5 mile	One race from the following: ATW Bedford (28^th January), Harborough (11^th June), Corby (19^th June), Hatfield (24^th November), Wolverton (Nov), or any frostbite
Cat 4	10k	One race from the following: Thorney (24^th March), Cambourne (14^th April), Eye (12^th May), Ramsey (June tbc), Bedford AAA (July tbc), Bedford Autodrome (4^th August), Bedford Twilight (7^th September), Town & Gown (October tbc)

Long Championship

Category	Distance	Races
Cat 1	10 mile	One race from the following: ATW Bedford (28^th January), Twin Lakes (24 March), Sawtry (September tbc), Fenland (October tbc), Bass Belle (November tbc)
Cat 2	Half Marathon	One race from the following: ATW Bedford (25^th February), Cambridge Half (3^rd March), Milton Keynes (6^th May), Bedford Running Festival (9^th September), Great Eastern (13^th October), St Neots (November tbc)
Cat 3	Marathon	Any full distance marathon
