St Neots Riverside Runners embraces diversity and difference and is committed to providing opportunities that are safe, inclusive, accessible and equitable. Code of Conduct

The purpose of the Code of Conduct is for the Club and its members to uphold standards of ethical behaviour. It covers the Club, Officials, Coaches, Senior Athletes, Junior Athletes, Parents/Carers and Volunteers. The components of ethical behaviour are: integrity, responsibility, competence and confidentiality.

Upon joining the club and at renewal, all members are deemed to have accepted the Code of Conduct and to endorse and subscribe to the principles and responsibilities embodied in them.

Safeguarding

Riverside Runners is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all its members. The Club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the Club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the Club via the procedures described below or in confidence with the Club Welfare Officer.

Guidance document for the process in the event of an emergency/accident/incident. 

Documents

Self Declaration Form - Volunteers - To be completed by helpers at the Junior coaching sessions. Such helpers will not be in sole charge of a group of Juniors.

Junior Waiver Form - For Juniors aged 16+ to take part in Senior Club Runs and/or Senior Speedwork. Completed forms should be given to a Junior Coach and passed on to the Club Chairman. 

Junior Parental Consent Form (16+) - For juniors aged 16+ to take part in the Senior Handicap. Completed forms should be given to Maurice Hemingway. 

Incidents/Accidents Form - To be completed by a relevant person (Coach or Club Member) in the event of an incident or accident. Completed forms should be sent to the Club Chairman and the Welfare Officer. If relevant, accidents & incidents may also be reported to UK Athletics using their online form HERE

Riverside Runners fully trained Welfare officers are Emma Evans and Ann Ellmers.

Covid-19 Rules for Attending Club Activities

In order to resume club activities Riverside Runners has revised their Risk Assessment for Covid-19 and implemented new rules and procedures that must be followed by all Members and Coaches. The rules are based on advice and guidance provided by the Government and England Athletics.
