Pete and Kieth have organised a social run from the Wheatsheaf Pub in Perry near Grafham.There will be a run of around six miles along with walk followed by ameal at the Wheat sheaf.Please aim to get to the Wheatsheaf around 6.30/45pm.
Taking place this wednesday the 18th of June from the White Horse in Tilbrook , this will be the forth social run of the year.Organised by Ian Newland there will be a 5 to 6 mile run and a shorter walk followed by the opportunity to sample great food at the White Horse.Alll riversiders welcome ,and please aim to get to the White Horse around 6.30/45
Riverside Runners have won both the senior and junior Frostbite leagues. Despite wins at the final race by Werrington juniors and NVH seniors, both Riverside teams were able to hang on to the commanding lead they had built up earlier in the year.
Riverside will be hosting the Frostbite Presentation on Friday 28th March.

Over the weekend of 16th, 17th, and 18th June a number of Riverside Members took part in the Colworth Marathon Challenge. This is an event of three races which add up to a marathon distance. The races are 5 miles on Friday, 8.1 mile trail run on Saturday and a half marathon on the Sunday. Over the weekend Riverside ladies once again came home with the awards. Norma Leckie won 1st lady O/55 in all three races then won the same award in the Marathon Challenge with a total time of 3:50:32. Fiona Bailey was 3rd lady in the 5 mile race and 2nd lady in both the 8.1 mile and half marathon and was 2nd lady in the Marathon challenge with a total time if 3:11:23. Emma Ritchie won the award for 1st female U/18 in the 5 mile race. Over the weekend, Riverside finished second team behind winners Bedford Harriers.
On Sun 14th May Riverside had 36 runners taking part in the Eye 10K race. The Ladies taking the honours with Tracey Patmore picking up the award for 1st lady O/35 and Ann Storey the award for 1st Lady O/ 55, there were also a numbers of PBs achieved.
Keith Pritchard was first home for Riverside in 27th in a time of 37:42 closely followed by Phill Redden.
16 Members took part in the Fun Run with Tom Stead picking up the award for 1st Boy U/11 and Katherine Mackay the award for 1st Gil U/15.

On Sat 11th March six Members of Riverside too part in the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships representing Cambridgeshire at Wollerton Park in Nottingham.
In the senior ladies race over 8000m, Lindsey Lister finished in 36mins 32secs in 227th place in a field of 255 runners.
In girls U17 race over 5000m Suzy Boast finished in 20mins 49secs in 61st place in a field of 249 runners, Anna Levitt, representing Northamptonshire, finished in 134th place in 21mins 53secs.
In Girls U/13 race over 3000m Emily Boast finished in 15mins 58secs in 202nd place in a field of 292 runners.
In Boys U/17 race over 6000m Will Mackay finished in 185th place in 23mins 29secs.
Seven Riverside Runners took part in the Wellingborough Multi Terrain 10k and 15k. It was a tough course (2 laps for 10k and 3 laps for 15k) with some slippery muddy sections and a very steep very muddy hill.
In the 10k Will Mackay had an excellent run to pick up the award for 3rd overall in a PB time of 37:17.
In the 15k Phil Redden finished in 6th position finishing in just under 1 hour, followed by Mat Dowle in 9th position in 63:07.
On Sun 22nd Jan Riverside Juniors took part in the Sportshall Athletics at St.Ives Sports Centre and came home with some good results. Peter Taine, Alan Runham, Ruth Flory, Alice Hewitt an Jenna Payne have been invited to represent the County on February 4th at Norwich.

On Sat 21st Jan Riverside held their Annual Presentation Evening at the St. Neots Bowling with 110 members attending.

There was a special award for Dave Woodward for all the work he has done for the Club since it was formed in 1987. Dave was the first secretary and then took over the Chairmanship for a number of years.
Phil Redden received a special award for his services as Club Captain for the last four years.
The Cambridgeshire Cross Country Championships were held in Priory Park, St. Neots on Sun 15th January. The event was hosted by Riverside Runners and was a great success. There were races for U/11s, U/13s, U/15s, U/17s, U/20s,Seniors and Vets both Ladies and men.
There were some good results for Riverside with seven members being invited to represent the County in the Inter Counties Championships held in Wollerton Park Nottingham on the 11th March.

On Sun 27th Nov Riverside entered several teams in the Hereward Relay which starts at Peterborough Cathedral and finishes at Ely Cathedral, a total of 39.5 miles with some very hard legs on the off road sections.
Riverside ladies all had excellent runs and were rewarded with the 1st Ladies team award, they were Rachel Sutcliffe, Annie Furbank, Lindsey Lister and Amanda Rawson. Their total time was 4hrs 46mins 13secs and their finishing position was 40th out of 134 teams that finished. Rachel Sutcliffe won the award for 1st Lady on the last leg.

Finally, Mat Dowle completed the full 39.5 miles in 6hr 10mins.
Seventeen members of Riverside Runners are heading for New York, this weekend, to take part in the Marathon on Sunday. Nine runners - Eric Davis, Mick Entwistle, Annie Furbank, Alan Huckle, Phil Ingle, Norma Leckie, David Irwin, Jon Mackay and John West are all running the New York Marathon. The rest of the party will be watching and supporting on the day. Good luck everyone.
Over the weekend of 29th - 30th October, Mat Dowle took part in the Hull 24 hour track race. Mat ran a good race covering 112.5 miles in the 24 hours which gave him 3rd place overall and the award for second man.
Over the weekend of 29th - 30th October, several members of Riverside competed in the KIMM (Karrimor International Mountain Marathon). The weather in the Lake Disatrict was wet and windy making it a very tough event.
In the C class, Mark Beagley and his partner finished in 124th position in a time of 11:50:21.
In the Short Score class, Sarah Bowles and her brother Peter came home in a time of 08:35:49 with 218 points to give them 220th position. Helen Liddle and Raymond Willett finished with 6 points in a time of 07:44:59 to give them 245th position.
Over the weekend, Helen Liddle made the trip up to the Peak District to join Pip for the Mors and Tors run as training for this year's Karrimor.
A very tough 20 mile route that included three mountains, bogs, streams and rivers and beutiful scenery. Helen and Pip finished together in an excellent time of 5:24.
Ray and Gary completed the 24 Hour Track race at Tooting Bec over the weekend of 8th - 9th October.
Gary never stopped running for 24 hours and came in 12th place covering an impressive 104 miles. Ray finished 16th covering 90 miles and picked up the trophy for third fastest over 50.
