This Sunday (19th) we are planning a run up the Ouse Valley Way to St. Ives. Phil, myself and Nicola will run from Paxton Pits at 8a.m up to Buckden Marina, where we will be joined by Sam B, Aimee, Donna and Emma at 8.45am. We will then run up to St Ives, where we will have left a couple of cars for the return journey. If you would like to join our merry bunch, please let one of us know so that we have enough space to give lifts back. All Welcome

Results for the Juniors' Handicap held this evening have been published in the Document Library. Well done to the 26 who ran and many thanks to the many adults who came along and helped out.
Special mention to Nathan Shipley who has now won the handicap on the last two months on the trot.
Next Junior Handicap Monday 10 June 2013.

just a reminder about the social run tomorrow.Thank you to the lovely Mick and Barbara for starting the social runs off. We will be meeting at The Abbots's Elm at about 6:45 leaving at 7 prompt for a run and back to the pub for food. It looks lovely, if you remeber we went there a couple of years ago when it was the Horseshoes. (I think)

As per the realbuzz forum, the VLM helpline advise you to enter the ballot then if your GFA is at the required standard you withdraw from the ballot and enter as you would normally.
Hope this helps. |

| I didn't know that Ali, the GFA's aren't available until the end of May when the ballot is closed. Luckily for me I don't have this dilemma! |

| Not sure it's a good idea to enter through ballot if you have current good for age qualification time.. In the past, it has been very clear that you must not enter though ballot if applying for 'good for age'. You can not enter twice. Tricky! |

Just a reminder that the ballot opens tomorrow 29 April. Although you no longer need a rejection slip to get into the draw for the club spaces you should still try your luck this way, then you will get 2 chances of a space.
I had a look at the website and there is no information on GFA's for next year. I heard they are changing and are likely to be faster. This could mean that if your time this year was very close to the 2013 GFA time it may not be fast enough, so if you want to run next year then enter the ballot anyway.
I imagine, and that's all I can do, this would be rather frustrating for those people who could miss out.
Liz

| I had put John and I down to organise the 15th May social run as it is the day before my birthday. However John has announced that he will now be in Dallas that week. So instead I would like to bagsy the 29th May slot and have provisionally booked The Crown at Northill (let me know if someone else has already bagsied that date). So 15th May slot is now available if anyone would like to step in. Steph |
